In our free enterprise economy most decisions relating to the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services are left to the initiative and judgment of private individuals. Freedom of choice for both consumers and producers and the right to compete in a free market are among the principles that are the foundation for our economic system. However, in a complex society, no right is absolute. In addition, experience has shown that "perfect" competition is impossible to maintain. For these reasons, some government regulation of the economy has proved necessary. The purpose of such regulation is to strengthen our free enterprise economy, not to weaken it.

Production of the goods and services requires land, labor, capital, and the organizational and supervisory ability of an enterpriser. The extent to which each of these factors contributes to production is the major determinant of the income of each---rent for land, wages for labor, interest for capital, and profit for the enterpriser.

Our economy may be visualized as a circular flow of goods, services, and money payments. As long as there is no breakdown in this cycle, our economy operates smoothly and our resources continue to be channeled into productive activity.

Our first meeting was January 29, 2007. Future meetings will be held the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 PM. Members will notified of meeting/time/venue information.

The membership will consist of Hi-Desert community business leaders.

The purpose of the elite hunt club is to unite property owners, developers, contractors and business people to insure positive growth for the High Desert.

Annual Dues are $100.00. Future meeting locations to be determined.
